Amazon's Black Friday deals are already heating up

Black Friday is still a few weeks away, but you don’t have to wait to get great deals. We’re already seeing some major discounts on everything from TVs and other tech to home and kitchen products. A lot of these prices are the same as we saw during Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. early October. Others are not quite as good but are still outperforming their typical discounts. And a few are likely to improve by Black Friday, so we’ve noted this to help you plan your Black Friday shopping and budget.

With so many options, it can be a challenge to spot the best discounts on high-quality products. So we’ll be combing through the myriad offers all throughout November and during Black Friday and Cyber Monday to find great prices on products that have performed well in our labs and homes. The best deal isn’t always the cheapest or the one with the biggest discount, especially if the product doesn’t live up to your expectations. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including a model’s performance in CR’s tests, its predicted reliability based on data from our member surveys, and the size of the discount compared with the original list price and the current “street price” (i.e., the typical cost of the product).

If you’re looking for more discounts at other retailers, check out the latest offers on CR’s Deals Hub.

    Small Kitchen Appliances

The Ninja Pro AF141, now $10 less than the best price we’ve seen in over a year, is an easy-to-use air fryer with a measured capacity of 3.8 quarts and a range of cooking functions, including a dehydrate setting. It’s not the quietest air fryer, but it’s not especially noisy either, and our testers found it easy to clean. It comes with pre-programmed settings for cooking different foods, plus a recipe book and cooking charts to help guide your cooking. You’ll get a 1-year warranty with this machine.

CR's expert guidance and unbiased reviews can help you purchase with confidence.

A stand mixer like the KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK is a prized possession on many bakers’ countertops, and this price makes it easier to add it to yours. It’s now $20 less than it was during the last big sale, so if you want to get one ahead of Thanksgiving, it’s an impressive discount for a new KitchenAid model that excels in CR’s tests (and you may not see a better discount by Black Friday anyway). This stand mixer earns an excellent score for whipping time in whipped-cream tests and an excellent score in our mixing tests, where we observe how much a mixer labors when mixing thick chocolate-chip cookie dough. It comes with a stainless steel bowl with a handle, a whisk, and a dough hook. This model can also run attachments like a pasta maker or spiralizer, bought separately.

The price for the Professional Plus Kitchen System BN801 Blender hasn’t been this low in well over a year, making it an ideal time to buy one of the highest-rated blenders we’ve tested. It’s especially handy if you plan on using a new blender to make smoothies and soups, considering its excellent performance in our tests for icy drinks and purees. It also has very good performance in our ice crush tests.

The Ninja BL770 is $20 less than it was just a couple weeks ago. It’s not just a blender. Ninja calls it an entire kitchen system, which can save you some space if you might have bought a full-sized blender, a personal blender, and a food chopper all separately. As a blender, this Ninja proved tough in our durability tests, in which we crush ice cubes over the course of 45 tests or until the blender breaks. It also earns very good scores in our performance tests, including those for icy drinks, purée, and ice crushing. With the personal blender attachment, this model actually earned an excellent score for pureeing. Plus, the food chopper attachment can be used with an included dough blade.

    Headphones

The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e over-ear headphones rank among the best noise-canceling headphones CR has tested. They have strong bass and an open distortion midrange, and the noise cancellation is also top-notch.

The JBL Tune 510BT is already a budget-friendly option, but at this low price, it dips it into stocking stuffer territory. This Bluetooth model delivers sound quality in the ballpark of far more expensive headphones, and it has a 40-hour advertised battery life. It sits on the ears, which some people find more comfortable than being engulfed by bigger, over-the-ear style cans. As an extra perk, you can use the headphones with a cable if you forget to charge them. These aren’t noise-canceling headphones, but for the price, they’re hard to beat.

These Sony earbuds may be a bit expensive, but their stellar sound quality makes them more than worth it if you care about music. Walmart’s price matches the best we’ve seen, and Amazon’s comes close. They’re sleek successors to the company’s stellar WF-1000XM4s, and they deliver so much musical detail that you’ll hear your favorite songs in a different way. The noise-canceling performance of the XM5s is top-notch as well, and they have a very effective ambient mode that pipes in outside noise for safety or convenience.

    TVs

The Hisense 75U8QG has dipped $100 since last week. This is a higher-end 2025 4K ULED set, positioned just below the flagship Hisense U9QG model. It performed very well in our picture quality tests and offers great high dynamic range performance. (It supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR formats.) It has lots of features, including a Mini LED backlight with local dimming, a 165Hz native refresh rate, and support for Dolby Atmos audio. The 4.1.2-channel speaker system delivers great sound. The set uses the Google TV smart system, with built-in Google Assistant.

    Hisense 100U65QF

The Hisense 100U65QF is a jumbo 100-inch model introduced earlier this year. It utilizes quantum dots for an expanded range of colors and includes a Mini LED backlight with local dimming, which enhances contrast and black levels. Other features include a native 144Hz refresh rate and support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, as well as Dolby Atmos sound. We haven’t tested the 100-inch version of the set, but we did test its 75-inch sibling, and it provides very good overall picture quality, although it is not as impressive in delivering HDR. We expect the 100-inch set to perform similarly.

The Samsung QN65QN90F, a 65-inch upper-midtier model in Samsung’s 2025 QD-OLED lineup, is among the best sets you can buy, with impressive overall picture quality, top-notch high dynamic range, and very good sound. (Samsung TVs support HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos sound, but not Dolby Vision HDR.) This set supports a maximum 4K 165Hz refresh rate, as well as Auto Low Latency Mode and variable refresh rate.

This set was $100 less during Prime Big Deal Days at multiple retailers.

This 55-inch 4K TV is from Amazon’s step-up Omni series for 2024. It does well for overall picture quality, but not as good for high dynamic range. It does have a wider-than-average viewing angle for an LCD set. It’s a QLED model with a Mini LED backlight, which can help boost contrast and improve black levels. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+ HDR and a 144Hz variable refresh rate for gaming.

This 55-inch 4K Amazon Fire TV, part of the company’s step-up Omni series, does well for overall picture quality, though it’s less-than-impressive for HDR. (It supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR formats.) Like the other Amazon Omni set above, its main drawbacks are a limited peak brightness and the lack of any local dimming feature to improve blacks and contrast.

    Laptops

The Asus Vivobook 16 isn’t flashy, but it covers the basics really well, especially at this price. It earns top marks for portability and ergonomics, making it a great pick for students or remote workers who value comfort and a lightweight build. Performance and display are average, but with a roomy 16-inch screen and solid all-around versatility, it’s a strong value at this price.

Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop is a sleek, ultra-portable powerhouse built for AI. It features a vibrant 13.8-inch touchscreen and the brand-new Snapdragon X Plus chip, which brings excellent battery life. This is a great price for a laptop with the cutting-edge chip.

    Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers

The Apple Watch Series 10 (42mm) is now a generation old, but it still delivers stellar performance. It comes with a bright display, fast-charging capabilities, and all the Apple Watch basics, from automatic workout detection to sleep tracking. The larger 46mm case option is also on sale.

This watch was $50 less at Amazon during the fall sales, so keep an eye out for a price drop in the future.

The Fitbit Charge line routinely features great general-purpose trackers, and the Charge 6 is no exception. It offers a 1.1-inch full-color display and a range of tools that help you stay on top of your health, everything from stress monitoring to an ECG (electrocardiogram) function that can alert you to irregular heart rhythms. It’s currently at the best price we’ve seen all year.

The Versa 4, down to its best price, is a great fit for Fitbit fans who want a sleeker-looking smartwatch. You get a good-sized display and all the basics, from GPS-enabled workout tracking to heart rate monitoring. Plus, the battery lasted a generous seven days in CR’s testing.

This previous-generation Pixel Watch 3 has an elegant design, robust health features, and seamless compatibility with the Pixel phone and Google ecosystem. CR’s testers also found the performance of the watch’s heart-rate monitoring and step tracking to be excellent.

Amazon sold this watch for $179.99 during Prime Big Deal Days, so you may be able to save more closer to Black Friday.

    Streaming Devices

Among the improvements in the updated Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is a faster processor, which the company says makes it nearly 30 percent more powerful than its predecessor. The model also features WiFi 6 wireless technology and support for Dolby Atmos audio, as well as the HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ formats. The company says the generative AI can make searching for content easier by allowing users to ask more nuanced questions in a conversational way.

This latest stick-style streaming player from Amazon—the Fire TV Stick 4K Max—is among the company’s fastest, thanks to a more powerful processor; apps launch quicker than on earlier models. The player works on the WiFi 6 wireless standard and includes support for both the Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats, as well as Dolby Atmos audio.

Google is phasing out its older—cheaper—Chromecast streaming devices and replacing them with this new model. The Google TV Streamer (4K) features a sleeker design, a faster processor, and support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR formats, as well as Dolby Atmos audio. The player—$100 everywhere a week ago—can also serve as a hub for Google Home or Matter, enabling control of smart home products. It supports Thread, so it can extend your WiFi network, too.

    Tech Accessories

This compact, budget-friendly charger can be handy to toss in your kid’s backpack, especially if they need something that connects via USB-C. It’s roughly the size of a credit card and has two USB-A ports as well as a USB-C port, so it can charge three devices simultaneously. Iniu claims it can charge a pair of AirPods Pro over 10 times on a single charge and an iPhone 13 nearly twice.

    Metapen Pencil A8

This third-party iPad stylus writes silky smooth, whether you’re scribbling notes in class or creating advanced digital art. CR’s own pro illustrator Sharon Seidl says it feels like a “real pen writing on real paper” and rivals the pricier Apple Pencil models in performance. This model works with all iPad models after 2018.

The price on this stylus has actually dropped $4 since Prime Big Deal Days.

    Smart Home

    LIFX Color E26

    LIFX Color E26

The LIFX Color E26 is a solid smart bulb, with particularly impressive white tuning that has a claimed range of 1500K to 9000K. Indeed, the LIFX was both the warmest and the coolest of the smart bulbs we evaluated. It also provides great multicolor and dimming performance, as well as fairly responsive controls. It works with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings.

The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera is often available at this price, and it very rarely goes on sale for less (though it might for Black Friday). It can run off either a rechargeable battery or plug-in power cord, sold separately for $50, which connects to the bottom of the camera and can run up to 25 feet to connect to an outlet. It performs quite well in our lab tests, includes a siren, and offers voice/app control with all four major platforms: Amazon Alexa, Apple Home (with an Arlo Pro Smart Hub, sold separately), Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Additional features, such as activity zones, person detection, and cloud video storage, require an Arlo Secure subscription.

Vacuums, Carpet Cleaners, and Steam Mops

If you’re a pet owner, the price on this Shark Vertex DuoClean AZ2002 is worth a look. It’s now $50 less than the low price we saw during Amazon Prime Big Deal Days in October. It picks up pet hair especially well, has exceptional suction power, and does a solid job of containing small dust particles. It also has a lift-away canister, which makes cleaning hard-to-reach places easier. The self-cleaning brush roll prevents pet hair (and any long hair) from wrapping around it and getting tangled in the vacuum.

When it comes to cleaning, the Dyson 360 vis nav is hard to beat. It’s stellar at capturing debris and dust from carpets, a task that many robot vacuums struggle with. It has strong suction power and is less likely to scatter trash around while cleaning than other bots we tested. It has a quick charging time of under 2 hours. The Dyson 360 vis nav is typically priced around $1,000, so now’s a good time to snag this vacuum while it’s still 50 percent off.

The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Lite VS80F28DMP/AA is a good vacuum to have if you don’t have tons of carpets in your home. It was nearly $100 less during the last big sale, but this is still a nice price if this is the model you want. It’s only decent at sucking debris from carpets, but it’s very good on bare floors and even better at picking up pet hair. It comes with a station that charges the vacuum and automatically empties its dust bin. The model is currently selling at the lowest price we’ve seen in the past three months, making this a deal worth capitalizing on.

Currently the highest-scoring robot vacuum in our ratings, the iRobot Roomba Max 705 checks a lot of boxes. It’s a strong cleaner and is especially good at suctioning up pet hair. The vacuum is adept at navigating through the spaces you want it to clean and is relatively quiet, so you’ll barely notice it.

One of the best features of the Eufy C10 T2292 is its slim design, which enables it to access hard-to-reach areas under desks, beds, and other low-profile furniture. It’s quiet, good at picking up debris from bare, uncarpeted floors, and has brush rolls that are easy to remove and clean. Competitively priced from the start, this discount makes it even more affordable.

The Tineco Floor One S7 Pro Smart Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner shines at cleaning up wet messes, such as cereal and milk, and does a solid job of removing dried-on food stains as well. Its battery life is longer than that of many of its competitors, and we like how convenient its self-cleaning features are. This price is $50 more than the lowest we’ve seen from the product this year, so you may be able to save more closer to Black Friday if you can wait.

The GorFanty 10-in-1 MultiPurpose, which more commonly retails for $100, is an excellent cleaner with a decent steam rate. It takes only 20 seconds for the steam mop to produce steam, and its steam can last for around 10 minutes on its maximum setting. We like that you can adjust the length of the mop to accommodate people of different heights. The mop comes with plenty of accessories, including attachments for cleaning tile grout, clothes, furniture, windows, and carpets.

The fast-drying Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Pet 3432 is very good at tackling stubborn messes in carpets and is particularly well-suited for pet owners. It comes with a formula that targets pet stains and odors, a pet upholstery tool to clean both wet and dry messes, a tough stain tool, and a hose.

    Sleep Accessories

The Beckham Luxury Linens Hotel Collection Pillow is just $3 more than its best price, a sale we haven’t seen in nearly a year. It has a 100 percent cotton cover and a 100 percent polyester gel-fiber filling. The pillow aced our test for breathability, so it should help keep you from feeling hot; it also scored top marks for resiliency, so it should maintain its shape over time.

Blackout curtains can be a total game-changer. The Amazon Basics Room Darkening Blackout Curtains are among the best we evaluated for a number of reasons. Tested in both black and white, they scored a perfect 5 out of 5 for their ability to block light. As for how well the curtains provide insulation against heat loss and gain, we scored it 4 out of 5. Made from polyester/polyurethane, each panel uses loops to attach to a rod. They’re also washable—making them both functional and convenient.

This 2-inch memory-foam topper provides great support while still allowing you to sink into it. And at 8 pounds, it’s not overly heavy to maneuver. It’s flippable, but this deal doesn’t come with a cover (though you can add one on yourself), and a lack of corner straps means it might shift around. You can return Linenspa products for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

    Home Goods

The Babymoov Hygro (+) is the highest-rated humidifier for small rooms in our evaluation, and for good reason. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and produces high moisture output. The Hygro (+) comes with a humidistat that controls the humidity level, as well as seven different colors of night light.

    Conair GS59X

    Conair GS59X

The Conair GS59X does a good job evening out rumples in thin cotton dress shirts, but like most handheld steamers, it struggles with creases. It took about 12 minutes to steam a button-up and couldn’t handle a more challenging linen shirt. This steamer did a satisfactory job in our evaluations across the board, including for steam power (16.62 grams per minute), heat time (1 minute), and run time (13 minutes). The tank is relatively easy to fill, and the steamer can operate vertically and horizontally.

    Outdoor Tools

If you need a leaf blower for light-duty work, the Worx WG585 is back to the same low price we saw during Prime Big Deal Days. It can move leaves and other light debris quickly and with ease. The leaf blower itself is also light, at just over 6 pounds. If you’ve invested in other 40-volt tools from Worx, now’s a good time to add a leaf blower to your arsenal. This is the lowest price we’ve seen in at least a year.

The Ego CS1611 is a battery-powered chainsaw that performed well in our tests, excelling in terms of ease of use, handling, and safety, and earning a very good score for cutting. It features a 16-inch bar, includes a 2.5-amp-hour battery and charger, and comes with a five-year warranty. The price at Amazon is now about $10 to $15 less than at other retailers, as of last week.
