Performance: Overall this laptop's performance was very good. Tasks like email, word processing and web browsing will be accomplished quickly. Compared to other tested laptops, it was fast for common tasks such as web browsing and video conferencing. Applications start up quickly. It was fast when composing documents with images, calculating large data spreadsheets, and running other productivity tasks, and it was fast for manipulating filters on multiple images, converting and editing videos, and rendering 3D models and calculating simulations. Graphical tasks run faster among other models with only integrated graphics.
Portability: This laptop is a fair choice for traveling. Battery life lasted 6.25 hours in a light load of web browsing tests, and 6.25 hours in a heavier load of 4K video playback tests. Results were sufficient to get through most of a workday of mixed use tasks, but not as notable as similar laptops. Another set of battery tests run with the second display turned on lasted 5.5 hours in browsing tests and 5.25 hours in video playback tests. At 3.8 lbs, weight was typical for a laptop of this size category.
Ergonomics: The laptop features, such as its keyboard, touchpad, and labeling were well-designed, making it comfortable and convenient to use. The keyboard has large keys and was comfortably sized. Its high contrast letters were easy to read, and the backlighting can be useful in dark rooms. The power button was well labeled and conveniently located. A stylus is included for use with the touch screen. The Dual touch screens can be used as an alternate input method. The keyboard can be detached, allowing the screen to be used like a tablet. The touchscreen is smooth enough for fast swipes, and fingerprints clean off easily. The bluetooth keyboard can be detached, but the dual screens can only lay flat and do not convert into a tablet format. There is a built-in kickstand so both screens can be displayed upright. The second screen can display a half or full-sized virtual keyboard and touchpad, along with additional controls, such as volume or a handwriting panel; or, use sharing mode to reverse one display onto the other, so someone sitting across from you can view and interact with your display. The keyboard can be stowed between the two screens when folding the laptop closed. Testers liked the sturdy build of the chassis.
Display: The display quality was very good overall. Colors were near-accurate, and mostly realistic and natural looking. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation. Its OLED display produces a wider array of colors and has better contrast than on most other tested laptops, which can help add realism to videos or slideshows. It has two 14-inch 2880x1800 OLED touch displays that can be used as two monitors or to display a virtual keyboard and touchpad, as well as other controls such as volume or a handwriting panel.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: Laptop detaches from the keyboard for use as a touchscreen tablet. The spacious 1TB solid-state drive offers plenty of room for storing your music, photos, and movies. You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners using USB4 for maximum performance. This laptop has a full-size HDMI port and supports DisplayPort over USB-C for connecting to an HDTV or monitor.
Downsides: There is no memory-card reader, so you'll need to buy an external reader or connect your digital camera directly to this laptop to transfer photos. At about 6.6 ft length, the power cable is shorter than most others, so you'd need to be mindful of power outlet locations.
