Volvo C70 First Drive
Introduction
The slow-selling C70 coupe and convertible try to bring some flash to Volvos conservative image. The C70 is based on the outgoing S70 sedan. Handling is capable but not sporty, and the brakes work well. The coupe's turbocharged 2.3-liter, 236-hp Five doesnt feel responsive unless its revved hard. The convertible also offers a 2.4-liter, 190-hp light-pressure turbo that has greater torque at lower revs. It feels more responsive in everyday driving, despite its lower horsepower.
