"We were driving to the Oregon coast in June 2024 when the car all of a sudden slowed down and the check engine light came on. As we pulled over, the oil light came on. We checked and the oil dipstick showed empty. We were able to add some oil but it still didn't have proper acceleration (the repair shop said it went into "limp in" mode). We found out it was a valve cover leak and they were able to fix it without any further issues. It still drives like a champ. I really appreciate the "limp in" mode this car has because it saved our engine."
