The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2023 Honda Odyssey owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    Brakes

Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.

    What Owners Say

    Pulsation or vibration

"when I brake i get a front end pulstation which is getting worse"

    Anonymous A., NC (2023 Honda Odyssey EX-L 3.5-L V6)
    Rotors

"The rotors will need to be turned or replaced to get rid of the pulsation. I don't think this is covered under warranty as this would be called "normal wear and tear""

    Anonymous A., NC (2023 Honda Odyssey EX-L 3.5-L V6)

    Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

    What Owners Say

    Other body problem

"Had to purchase a vehicle to repalce one that died. Dealer delivered. It wasn't until I rode in the back seat behind the driver and noticed the headliner had a huge pucker in it. Took it in and dealier replaced it uncer warranty. It took longer than estimated - a couple days if I recall. When returned, I found lose parts, cuts on the seat trim, adheasive on the interior, and the driver's side sliging door trim hangning coated with adheasive. It appeared whoever worked on the repair was not following Honda's manual or was careless. When the dealer replaced the seat trim that appeared to have a knife cut in it, the vehicle was returned and the same seat now had a piece of the lower handle gouged out. I've come to the opinion years ago that each time you take a vehicle in for something it comes back with more wrong than it went in with. I cut my losses and didn't bring it back."

    Anonymous, GA (2023 Honda Odyssey EX-L 3.5-L V6)
    Tailgate, hatch or trunk

"Upon taking delivery of the vehicle, the liftgate didn't close due to the bumper not being installed correctly. I managed to fix this issue on my own - although it took some time to figure out. Very disappointed that I had to deal with this on a $50k vehicle..."

Anonymous, NJ (2023 Honda Odyssey Sport 3.5-L V6)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

"Failure to connect with USB cable. Seems that the phone cant charge and use Apple CarPlay together. Purchased aftermarket wireless module to make it work."

Anonymous, TN (2023 Honda Odyssey Sport 3.5-L V6)
    Display screen freezes up

"Both the headunit and dash display froze up on one occassion. I realized it when I was going downhill in a 35MPH zone and seemed to be going quite a bit faster than 35MPH, yet the speedometer showed 30MPH. Took in and nothing found. They asked me to take a picture if it happens again - it's illegal to hold a cell phone while driving in my state. I've not seen the freezeup since and was only able to take photos of gibberish on the trun indicator on the dashboard unit while stopped. In these cases it will show something like a trun left arrrow and where it should tell you someing like Hwy 400 it will show part of the information followed by a bunch of small o type boxes accross the text line."
