    "4-5 times within 3 week period, including a 1000 mile trip, the FCW/ LDW/ Ck Transmission dash light would come on; it went off when van was restated. Took to Honda local dealer for service and they stated it was a known honda Odyssey torque converter issue they would cover under our drive-train warranty (had about 95k miles on van). They offered a rental car for free, fixed the 3,000 issue at no charge to me and covered it under warranty. Never had a sign, besides the sensor coming on, or problem with the van or transmission."

    "The cable for one of the sliding doors frayed and jammed the door open in April 2023. We couldn't get the door closed without cutting the cable which we ended up doing. We assumed the cable would be replaced but Honda refuses to sell the cable without the door motor. As a result the cost of the part (i.e. cable and door motor) was nearly $1,000 before labour was factored in when all we needed was the cable! The problem was resolved with the repair but cost us more than it should have."

    "Odyssey started misfiring around 152,000kms in September 2023. Assumed it was bad gas as I had just filled up the tank but mechanic found sparkplug in cylinder 3 was coated in oil and believed the cylinder was leaking oil past the piston rings likely caused by excessive wear due to the cylinder being turned off as part of Honda's VCM system. New sparkplugs were installed but the van misfired twice within a year following the installing of new plugs. We had an extended powertrain warranty at the time and had the van inspected by the dealer after the first misfire but refused to do anything because the mechanic who installed new sparkplugs cleared the misfire code. When it started misfiring again the dealer confirmed the issue but because it was then out of warranty they wanted $1,700 for the full diagnosis. We spoke to Honda Canada about the issue and how it was first detected and documented during the warranty period so they agreed to cover the repair costs but we would still be on the hook for the diagnosis cost. They said they would coordinate with our local dealer to get the process started. This call with Honda Canada occured in December 2023 and as of April 2024 we're still waiting to hear from either Honda Canada or the dealership about going forward with the diagnosis."

    Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
    What should you do:
    Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

    Summary:
    Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey vehicles. The second row outboard seats can slide sideways to one of two positions. If a seat is placed between either of the two positions when attaching the seat to the vehicle floor, the seat will not latch properly to the seat striker, allowing the seat to tip forward unexpectedly during braking.
    What should you do:
    Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install a bracket to the second row outboard floor strikers, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2018. Owners may contact American Honda Customer Support & Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is S0G.
