    Honda Accord Hybrid

    EPA MPG: 27 mpg

    Honda Accord Hybrid Road Test

    Introduction

The Accord Hybrid has many of the same traits as our top-rated non-hybrid V6 sedan. It has a roomy cabin and a steady, compliant ride. Like the non-hybrid V6 model, the hybrid delivers quick acceleration, but it only achieved 25 mpg overall in our testing, just one mpg better than the four-cylinder. The automatic transmission shifts very smoothly and responsively but the hybrid model compromises refinement when going in and out of electric mode in stop-and-go traffic. The Accord is quiet, though less so than the Toyota Camry and VW Passat because of some road noise. Side and curtain air bags and electronic stability control are standard.
