"After basic, routine service under the hood, the hood was closed. Then while driving the vehicle at highway speed the hood popped open and was caught on the safety latch. The vehicle had to be stopped to again close the hood. A warning on the instrument panel alarmed when the hood popped up, not before. Seems it should have indicated that the hood wasn't securely latched in the first place."
