Noises/Leaks
Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.
We expect the 2025 Expedition will be less reliable than the average new car. This prediction is based on data from the previous generation and the Ford brand score.
The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2023 Ford Expedition owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.
Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.
Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.
"the doors were misaligned when the it was delivered to us. Ford had to re allign the doors and re paint them. the trim and weatherstripping has never been correct since. the car squeeks and rattles as if it were a 20-year-old vehicle."

"Front passenger side door squeaks occasionally. Took to dealer and they said they didnt hear any noise. Not resolved. Seat belt parts such as the passenger side belt housing that belt clips into, rattles against center console if not secured. Have to tuck it between seat and console to stop rattling. Not resolved. Unbuckled seat belts in rear rattle against plastic molding if not clipped in when driving with windows down. Not resolved. Squeaking comes from front passenger side seat when driving over bumps when no one is sitting in it. Not resolved. Wind and road noise vary depending on wind speed outside and road surface (new vs old asphalt). Still not resolved. Two weeks after purchased new with 11 miles on odometer, had to take truck to two different dealers to fix rattling in rear liftgate. Problem according to Ford Tech, two clips that hold interior plastic molding to liftgate were not secured with the appropriate spacers. Resolved. One last thing but not sure if this will make your research. My 2023 Limited Stealth Edition is equipped with 12-inch touchscreen monitor and power running boards. The power running boards has an Auto feature that has extended out timers within it. One extended timer is 25 seconds before they retract after opening and another one is 5 minutes before retracting. The idea behind both is to allow for the boards to stay out while unloading children, pets, luggage, etc. The 5 minutes sitting was more geared towards unloading groceries or other items that may have you opening and closing the doors frequently during that 5 minutes so as to not burn out the running boards motors over time. They settings are available on my Limited but dont work. I addressed this with the dealer two weeks after purchase and they were aware of it but could not fix it. So I took it to another Ford dealer service shop and was told by the service manager that this option is only available on the 15-inch screen models. Makes no since whatsoever because it is available in my touch screen and I have power running boards just like and Expedition with power running boards. This issue is still not resolved by Ford to my knowledge. This issue has even been posted on the Ford Expedition Forum which Im a member of (roybus14). The members suggested using a Forscan tool to fix but I have not because Ive purchased the 8yr./100k miles extended bumper to bumper warranty and dont want to void that. Thank you for the survey and hope that my feedback helps. We love the Ford Expedition as we also still have our 2004 XLT. Ford has been experiencing a lot of quality issues over the past several years including $4.7 billion in warranty repairs last year. CEO vowed to fix it by beefing up QA/QC at the Kentucky plant but it doesnt do anything to address quality issues for consumers like me and others who love Fords and have purchased new ones with these quality issues. Best Regards,"
