The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2018 Chevrolet Bolt owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Display screen freezes up

"The issue here is the same as for the screen going black. It was all related and had the same source."

Anonymous A., CA (2018 Chevrolet Bolt LT Electric)
    Display screen goes blank

"The "infotainment" screen would go blank and freeze. I could operate the car and the screen showing mileage and speed was UNAFFECTED. It was only the infotainment system that didn't work. It started soon after I leased the car, but it was very intermittent. I took it to the dealer several times, and they told me it was fixed. It would work for awhile, but then fail again. Eventually, after I had the car for 6 years, the system went black and would not come on at all. CHEVROLET had to replace the unit, which cost about $500 for the new unit and $400 for the labor to replace it. That is the ONLY problem I have had with the Bolt."

Anonymous A., CA (2018 Chevrolet Bolt LT Electric)
