What Owners Say
"I experienced the well known problem of the reflector material inside the assembly burns away dimming the lights to the point of being unsafe. Cadillac really didnt stand behind this wanting almost $2000 to repair this clear design defect."
Anonymous A., OH (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)"The normal brightness of the headlights is so dim that it looks like there is a flashlight attached to the car. The brights are fine. I understand that it is a common problem with the car."
Anonymous A., TX (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)"The original headlights on Cadillac SRX models from 2011 - 2016 are known to have moisture intrusion problems leading to very dull low beams. Cadillac knows about the problem, it is widely publicized, but Cadillac will not issue a recall of pay for the repair and replacement of these headlights. Problem started 6-years after the original production date. I wrote to Cadillac several times, with no acceptable response. The local Cadillac dealer wanted over $1100 to replace the headlight assemblies. That was a joke. I bought replacement headlights this year on my own for $300 and had a body shop install them for $150. 1/3 the cost of what Courtesy Cadillac in Louisville, KY wanted. As an aside, I will never use Courtesy Cadillac again. Their service has deteriorated significantly. Cadillac should get a better dealer in Louisville. They were much better when they were part of locally owned Swope Automotive Group."
Anonymous A., KY (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)"Low beams are unusable at night. Must use high beams at ALL times, even oncoming traffic. Problem is UNFIXABLE. Cadillac has been sued and Monday I will join that suit."
Anonymous, MI (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)"The SRX 2015 year model was build with defective headlights for the electrical system; over time the reflective materials in the headlight failed. This was common for many owners, and Cadillac paid 50% of the cost to replace both headlights, a less-than-adequate solution. While bulbs may need to be replaced over time, the need to replace the entire headlight because of defective materials should have been replaced at the cost of the bulbs, not hundreds of dollars."
Anonymous, TN (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)"There was a design flaw with a drain coming in where the lift gate module is. It causes it to short out. You have to repair the module and put it in a plastic casing to keep it from reoccurring."

"Alarm would go off with no reason."
