    Owner Reported Trouble Spots

The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2015 Cadillac SRX owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    Electrical Accessories

Cruise control, clock, warning lights, body control module, keyless entry, wiper motor or washer, tire pressure monitor, interior or exterior lights, horn, gauges, 12V power plug, USB ports, alarm or security system, remote engine start, heated or cooled seats, heated steering wheel, headlights, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, wireless charging pad.

    What Owners Say

Alarm or security system (excluding aftermarket systems)

"Alarm would go off with no reason."

Anonymous, IN (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
    Headlights

"I experienced the well known problem of the reflector material inside the assembly burns away dimming the lights to the point of being unsafe. Cadillac really didnt stand behind this wanting almost $2000 to repair this clear design defect."

    Anonymous A., OH (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"The normal brightness of the headlights is so dim that it looks like there is a flashlight attached to the car. The brights are fine. I understand that it is a common problem with the car."

    Anonymous A., TX (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"The original headlights on Cadillac SRX models from 2011 - 2016 are known to have moisture intrusion problems leading to very dull low beams. Cadillac knows about the problem, it is widely publicized, but Cadillac will not issue a recall of pay for the repair and replacement of these headlights. Problem started 6-years after the original production date. I wrote to Cadillac several times, with no acceptable response. The local Cadillac dealer wanted over $1100 to replace the headlight assemblies. That was a joke. I bought replacement headlights this year on my own for $300 and had a body shop install them for $150. 1/3 the cost of what Courtesy Cadillac in Louisville, KY wanted. As an aside, I will never use Courtesy Cadillac again. Their service has deteriorated significantly. Cadillac should get a better dealer in Louisville. They were much better when they were part of locally owned Swope Automotive Group."

    Anonymous A., KY (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"Low beams are unusable at night. Must use high beams at ALL times, even oncoming traffic. Problem is UNFIXABLE. Cadillac has been sued and Monday I will join that suit."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"The SRX 2015 year model was build with defective headlights for the electrical system; over time the reflective materials in the headlight failed. This was common for many owners, and Cadillac paid 50% of the cost to replace both headlights, a less-than-adequate solution. While bulbs may need to be replaced over time, the need to replace the entire headlight because of defective materials should have been replaced at the cost of the bulbs, not hundreds of dollars."

Anonymous, TN (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
    Other electrical system problem

"There was a design flaw with a drain coming in where the lift gate module is. It causes it to short out. You have to repair the module and put it in a plastic casing to keep it from reoccurring."

    Anonymous A., TX (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Display screen freezes up

"We have had the CUE system replaced a couple times and it still doesn't work. It is now frozen and the Cadillac dealership said we would have to take it to a gentleman who deals with these problems and may or may not be able to fix it."

    Anonymous A., (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
External music device interface (e.g., smart phone, MP3 player)

"The screen froze up and the only way to fix it, we were told by the dealer, was to take it to a private company."

    Anonymous A., (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
    Heads-up display

"My screen is cracked. Cant see full view in back up camera. Bluetooth doesnt connect."

Anonymous, MO (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
    In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"The navigation started acting up and crazily switched screens, then the screen began showing hairline cracks.. i could use it until recently...now its no longer usuabke, it also controls the hvac in the car, the clock, the music, etc"

    Anonymous A., (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"low beam headlights are very dangerous; plastic cover on CUE is cracked because of hot sunlight on it and renders screen partially obscured. Headlight problem has been a problem since we got the car; cracked Cue screen vega about 3 years ago and continues to worsen"

    Anonymous A., MO (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"Battery replaced. Positive and negative cables replaced. Very expensive."

Anonymous, TX (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)

"Rear axle warning on the Driver Screen, came up in March, not solved yet. Oil lines to the differential - rusted, need it replacement. Fixed in April."

    Anonymous A., ON (2015 Cadillac SRX None 3.6-L V6)
